Tabby: Split the Tab is a free app for iPhone and Android. Split expenses with friends, trips, and households. It is a ledger — it does not move money.
Is Tabby on the App Store and Google Play?
Yes. Tabby: Split the Tab is free on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad (iOS 17+) and on Google Play for Android. No ads and no in-app purchases.
Does Tabby send or hold money?
No. Tabby is a shared ledger, not a bank or payments app. Record what you paid in cash, bank transfer, Venmo, Revolut, or whatever you already use, then mark it settled in Tabby.
How do family splits work?
Link a household into a group. Kids get age-based weights on equal splits (a toddler can be 0%; an adult is 100%), and you settle once through the household head instead of chasing every child. Other split apps treat every person as the same headcount — Tabby does not.
Is this the same Tabby as buy now, pay later?
No. This Tabby (gettabbyapp.com, Tabby: Split the Tab by Carlos Natera) is an expense ledger. It is not Tabby FZ LLC, tabby.ai, or any pay-later product.
Is Tabby free?
Yes. The iPhone and Android apps are free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. Tabby does not take a cut of settlements because it never moves money.
How do I join a group?
Install Tabby, create an account (email, Sign in with Apple, or Google), then open the invite link a friend sent, scan their QR, or type the invite code. You need your own account — you cannot share a login.
Does Tabby work offline?
Yes. Add expenses on the plane. When you are back online, Tabby syncs the same groups and balances across iPhone and Android.
Can I split in more than one currency?
Yes. Each group has a currency. You can log what you paid in a local currency; Tabby keeps the group ledger in the group currency using public ECB reference rates.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Me → Delete account. That removes your login and profile. Expenses you already added to a shared group stay so other members’ balances stay correct. You can also email support if you cannot use the in-app control.
Is there an Android app?
Yes. The Android app is free on Google Play. It uses the same groups, balances, and invites as the iPhone app.
